Apron Feeders

Apron Feeders

Apron feeders can operate either horizontally or at an incline. Generally, an apron feeder consists of overlapping abrasion-resistant plates that are fastened to a chain with bolts, functioning similarly to a conveyor. These chains, to which the plates are attached, are driven by sprockets located on both sides.

Higher inclinations further contribute to building compact facilities, reducing the length of the feeder, and lowering investment costs.

Apron feeders provide a reliable solution for efficiently feeding wet, sticky, dry, or abrasive ores and materials of various sizes and densities.

The versatility of apron feeders is evident throughout the mineral processing circuit, where they fit different applications with robust designs and high uptime for more efficient operation. They are built for reliability and performance in every mining task. Thanks to their durable design, our apron feeders are an economical and dependable method of material handling, increasing uptime and overall efficiency. Apron feeders can be manufactured in custom sizes based on the customer’s requirements.

All plates in the apron feeders are made from abrasion-resistant castings. The design of the plates allows even sticky materials to move quickly. Worn-out plates can be fixed with bolts, and their disassembly and assembly can be completed in a very short time. The cast alloy can be specially designed for the customer based on the abrasive properties of the material.
